As the cold, dry winter air begins to give way to warmer, pollen-filled spring weather, it’s wise to prepare our skin.
That doesn’t just mean moisturizing and exfoliating, it means working with our diet and finding products that work for us. In this week’s post, I’m sharing my favorite new products to nurture your skin and dishing up another one of my recipes to nourish your skin.
Let’s start with the products! I’d like to introduce you to a new skincare system from best selling author and my personal friend, Dr. Trevor Cates. Dr. Cates has created an incredible line of skincare products made from some of the most in-demand, organic ingredients. Her website is full of skin-friendly recipes and information on how to best support our various types of skin.
Because you are part of my community, I’m excited to offer you a special opportunity to try The Spa Dr. line. When you use coupon code “sally” at checkout, you’ll receive 20% off everything!
Here are some of my favorites:

RECIPE FOR HEALTHY SKIN
Another one of the keys to clear, healthy skin is to support the protective “bi-lipid layer” of the skin with essential fatty acids. When the omega-3 fatty acids, EPA and DHA, are incorporated into the cell membrane, they protect the skin from dehydration, promote healing and reduce inflammation. If you’re not eating fish, nuts and seeds, or taking them in a supplement, then you’re not getting these essential fatty acids.
Unlike tuna, which contains unsafe levels of mercury, my “salmon salad” is rich in the essential, omega-3 fatty acids and naturally low in mercury. It’s easy to make, delicious and provides the protein, fiber and essential fats that fight inflammageing. Bon appetit!
